It's Time to
Stop Smoking...
Is There Really an
Easy Way to Stop Smoking?
by Carol Stack
Is there an easy way to stop smoking? If
you are like many people you need something to
assist you to quit.
Deciding to stop smoking is often one of
the top New Years resolutions for people far and
wide, and yet many more thousands seem to pick up
the habit every year despite increasing health
warnings, skyrocketing tobacco prices and
increased awareness, and more advanced stop
smoking aids being offered to the public.
So when you first consider the prospect of stop
smoking, it's probably going to seem far-fetched,
but keep in mind that thousands of people - people
that are no different from you - stop smoking
every year.
These days there are a variety of goods on the
market that can assist you to stop smoking
cigarettes. Nicotine patches, pills and nicotine
gum are very popular options.
If you are wary of medication to assist you to
stop smoking cigarettes, you might consider
one of the natural stop smoking products on the
market today. Natural cures to help you stop
smoking include calamus (chew the root to destroy
desire for nicotine) and chamomile (take three to
six times a day to help you relax).
If you are still struggling to quit after trying
the patches, the medication and the natural
products, there is another option. It has proven
to be 60-75% successful. What is it? It's hypnosis
therapy.
Numerous people recommend that stop smoking
hypnosis therapy be used in conjunction with
stop smoking products, such as the patch or
nicotine gum. Since over time the smoker becomes
physically and psychologically addicted to the
nicotine, to be able to stop smoking he
needs to be liberated from both dependences.
A hypnotherapist can usually help you in a single
session - with one and a half hour's hypnotherapy,
and a Stop Smoking CD. Hypnotherapists generally
have a success rate of 75% with smokers who seek
treatment - often in a single session of 90
minutes. An analysis by New Scientist Magazine
back in 1992 found that hypnosis, in one session,
had a success rate of up to 60% in helping people
stop smoking.
Even if you try to quit without the aid of
medication or nicotine supplements, you'll need
some kind of help to stop smoking cigarettes. No
matter how you feel about stop smoking
hypnosis in principle, the only way to discover
whether or not it works is to try it yourself.
If you've already tried a variety of the stop
smoking products, you may think it's just not
meant to be. But don't give up. No matter how hard
it may be to stop smoking, be assured that
the benefits far outweigh the pain.
